How long has Rebecca been playing?
Rebecca has been singing since before she could talk. She started singing in the children's choir at her church when she was 4 and has been performing ever since. As a young child, her mother taught her how to read music for the piano to stop her from just banging on the keys. Her only formal music training came from the Paramus Public School System, where she played violin, flute, piccolo, saxophone and upright bass, and sang in school and church choirs. In 1997, she taught herself to play guitar and quickly began writing songs.

Rebecca's first album, The Austin Sessions (2000), was recently re-released digitally. Not Perfect is available on iTunes, CD Baby and Spotify. Physical copies of the Austin Sessions CD are available at shows and by mail. Email ArtuniaMusic@gmail.com.
What is Artunia Music?
Artunia Music is Rebecca Rydell's music label, a division of DV8 Event Productions. The name comes from her song Hush and was a nickname given to her from drummer John Fowler in 2000.
